Welcome to the 6th ICATES 2024! 

It is an honor to welcome you to the 6th International Conference on Agricultural Technology, Engineering, and Environmental Sciences (6th ICATES) 2024. The conference will be held on September 19–20, 2024, in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Banda Aceh, formerly known as "Kutaradja", is the capital and largest city in the Province of Aceh, Indonesia. It is widely known as one of the most cultural- and historical-rich cities in Indonesia, offering you an enjoyable stay with its stunning culture, tourism spots, and unforgettable culinary options.

The largest and oldest national university in Aceh, Syiah Kuala University (commonly abbreviated as USK), is hosting this conference on behalf of the Agricultural Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture. The 6th ICATES 2024 is an event jointly organized by the Agricultural Engineering Department, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Agricultural Mechanization and Workshop Research (PUSMEPTAN), Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, as well as the Magister of Land Resources Conservation Department, Universitas Syiah Kuala, with the aim of convening experts from academia and industry to communicate their research, explore new knowledge, and broaden professional networks, particularly in the fields of agricultural technology, engineering, and environmental sciences.

Under the theme "Integrating Technology, Engineering, and Environmental Aspects for Sustainable Agriculture," the 6th ICATES 2024 will provide an excellent forum for knowledge sharing and research findings that are related to research and innovations and the latest technology development for enriching smart societies. All conference papers undergo a thorough review by our carefully chosen scientific committees to determine whether they are worthy of publication recommendations.

The 6th ICATES 2024 Publication 

1. All accepted papers presented at ICATES 2024 will be published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, which is indexed by Scopus.
2. Publication of papers in the proceedings is conditioned on a positive assessment by reviewers.
3. Failure to present at ICATES 2024 will result in the automatic withdrawal of your paper from the conference proceedings.
4. We allow up to 2 papers per author (including co-authors). 
5. The paper should be within IOP:EES scopes as well as author and ethical guidelines, otherwise, it will be rejected.
6. Our APC is charged for accepted and declined articles.

The Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for consideration for ICATES 2024. Abstracts must be submitted online through this link until July 20, 2024. Full papers may be submitted only when the abstract of the paper has been accepted.
